Leave Application – Spain UNICEF Officials
Attention to all applicants .
The UNICEF Board of Welfare Department in Spain has established new regulations for UNICEF expatriates working in crisis zones who wish to apply for work leave through their loved ones, friends, or relatives. The following leave options are available:
Health Leave: If a UNICEF official is in poor health, their loved ones, friends, or relatives may request leave on their behalf to ensure they receive proper medical treatment.
Family Leave: TThis leave allows a UNICEF official to reunite with their family for important life events, such as marriage, bereavement, or urgent personal matters.
For a leave request to be approved, the applicant (loved one, friend, or relative) must remit a refundable fee to cover the administrative costs and ensure the welfare of other UNICEF officials who will be deployed as replacements during the leave period. This fee may sometimes be a percentage of the official’s allowance.
